Alberta’s new Care-First auto insurance system comes into effect January 1, 2027
Effective January 1, 2027, the new Care-First auto insurance system will be available for Alberta drivers. As your trusted insurance advisor, we’re here to support you through this change.
No action is currently required by clients, including those with upcoming renewals. Every driver in the province will automatically move to the new system on January 1, 2027. The change in premium will be reflected in your next renewal.
For renewals after January 1, please wait until 60 days before your renewal date to contact us with questions. Staff are actively preparing for the new insurance system, and this will allow us time to ensure we can answer all your questions.
